A Shot of Brandy came about due to my husband Tom's lupus. I started the blog to keep family and friends updated on Tom's recovery, but blood work and a 6 hour chemo drip every few weeks, tends not to make for the most interesting read. Imagine? So to fill in the gaps between test results I began writing about the daily happenings in our household and a blog was born. I mean between the hubby with Lupus, the son with autism, the daughter with anxiety disorder and the nephew, oh my the nephew, this thing practically writes itself. Now if I could only find my inner filter so I know when not to over-share or let loose with TMI's, then possibly my family would love the blog just as much as all of you do! So for whatever reason you've stumbled upon this blog, autism, lupus, panic attacks, bipolar, etc..., I'm glad you're here and if nothing else, I hope you laugh at least once before leaving! Blog Update as of April 2012- Sadly my blog vanished over night due to much smarter and more evil people than I. Sooooo since all my archives and 2 ½ years of this little passion project are now gone, I am now forced to start over. Ughhhhh. I do have a little over 200 of the previous 572 postings but it’s going to take me forever to get them all back up and in chronological order. Until all sanity is restored I ask for your patience and understanding, and if all else fails go eat a donut. Donuts make everything better!
